राजशिरोमणि! इतना तो मैं जान सका हूँ। तत्पश्चात् अपने क्षीण होते हुए पुण्य के कारण मैं नंदनवन से नीचे गिर पड़ा। नरेन्द्र! उस समय मेरे लिए विलाप करने वाले देवताओं की यह करुण वाणी अंतरिक्ष में सुनाई दी-॥21॥
