तस्मादक्रोधने यज्ञस्तपो दानं महाफलम्॥
न पूतो न तपस्वी च न यज्वा न च कर्मवित् ।
क्रोधस्य यो वशं गच्छेत् तस्य लोकद्वयं न च॥
पुत्रभृत्यसुहृन्मित्रभार्या धर्मश्च सत्यता।
तस्यैतान्यपयास्यन्ति क्रोधशीलस्य निश्चितम्॥ )
यत् कुमारा: कुमार्यश्च वैरं कुर्युरचेतस:।
न तत् प्राज्ञोऽनुकुर्वीत न विदुस्ते बलाबलम्॥ ७॥ | | | | | | अनुवाद | | क्रोधी व्यक्ति के यज्ञ, दान और तप निष्फल होते हैं। इसलिए क्रोध न करने वाले व्यक्ति के यज्ञ, तप और दान फलदायी होते हैं। जो क्रोध से ग्रस्त होता है, वह कभी शुद्ध नहीं होता और तप भी नहीं कर सकता। उसके लिए यज्ञ करना संभव नहीं होता और वह कर्म का रहस्य नहीं जानता। इतना ही नहीं, उसका इस लोक और परलोक में जीवन नष्ट हो जाता है। जो स्वभाव से क्रोधी है, उसके पुत्र, सेवक, मित्र, पत्नी, धर्म और सत्य उसे अवश्य ही छोड़कर दूर चले जाते हैं। अज्ञानता के कारण अबोध बालक-बालिकाएँ आपस में जो वैर करते हैं, उसका अनुकरण समझदार लोगों को नहीं करना चाहिए; क्योंकि वे अबोध बालक दूसरों के बल को नहीं जानते। | | | | The sacrifices, charity and penance of a person who is short-tempered are fruitless. Therefore, the sacrifices, penance and charity of a person who does not get angry are fruitful. One who is overcome by anger is never pure and cannot even perform penance. It is not possible for him to perform sacrifices and he does not know the secret of karma. Not only this, his life in this world and the next world are destroyed. One who is short-tempered by nature, his sons, servants, friends, wife, Dharma and truth will certainly leave him and go far away.
