तयोरपत्यं कस्मात् त्वं पुंश्चलीव प्रभाषसे॥ ७६॥

मेनका अप्सराओं में श्रेष्ठ कही गई है और तुम्हारे पिता विश्वामित्र भी ऋषियों में श्रेष्ठ माने गए हैं। उन दोनों की संतान होकर तुम व्यभिचारिणी स्त्री की भाँति मिथ्या कथन क्यों कर रहे हो? 76.
