एते वासुकिजा नागा: प्रविष्टा हव्यवाहने।
अन्ये च बहवो विप्र तथा वै कुलसम्भवा:।

| ये नाग वासुकि के वंशज थे और इन्हें अग्नि में प्रवेश करना पड़ा। हे ब्रह्मन्! इसी वंश में उत्पन्न हुए अन्य अनेक अत्यंत शक्तिशाली और भयंकर नाग थे। वे सभी नाग-यज्ञ की प्रज्वलित अग्नि में आहुति बन गए। 7. |
