उस यज्ञ की अग्नि में निरन्तर सर्पों की आहुति दी जा रही थी। अब केवल कुछ ही सर्प शेष रह गए थे। यह देखकर वासुकि नाग बहुत दुःखी हुए और हृदय में व्यथित होने लगे॥19॥
Snakes were continuously being sacrificed in the fire of that yagya. Now only a small number of snakes were left. Seeing this, Vasuki snake became very sad and started feeling distressed in his heart.॥19॥
