पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुन जानते हैं कि सात्वत कुल के लोग सदैव धन के लोभी नहीं होते, अतः धन देकर कन्या प्राप्त नहीं की जा सकती। इसके अतिरिक्त पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुन यह भी जानते हैं कि स्वयंवर में कन्या मिलने की पूर्ण निश्चितता नहीं है, अतः वह भी अस्वीकार्य है॥3॥
‘Pandu's son Arjun knows that the people of Satvat clan are not always greedy for money, hence the bride cannot be obtained by giving money. Besides this, Pandu's son Arjun also knows that there is no complete certainty of getting the bride in Swayamvar, hence that too is unacceptable.॥ 3॥
