आचकर्षतुरन्योन्यं मुष्टिभिश्चापि जघ्नतु:।
ततश्चटचटाशब्द: सुघोरो ह्यभवत् तयो:॥ २६॥
पाषाणसम्पातनिभै: प्रहारैरभिजघ्नतु:।
मुहूर्तं तौ तदान्योन्यं समरे पर्यकर्षताम्॥ २७॥ |

| इस प्रकार वे एक-दूसरे को खींच रहे थे और एक-दूसरे पर घूँसे बरसा रहे थे। उस समय घूँसों के कारण दोनों के शरीर से 'चट-चट' की अत्यंत भयानक ध्वनि निकल रही थी। वे एक-दूसरे पर इस प्रकार प्रहार कर रहे थे मानो पत्थर टकरा रहे हों। उस युद्ध में वे दोनों लगभग दो घंटे तक एक-दूसरे को खींचते और धकेलते रहे। |
