भृगुवंश को आनन्द प्रदान करने वाले उस भृगुपुत्र ने अपने पूर्वजों (जो क्षत्रियों द्वारा मारे गए थे) के सम्मान के लिए अथवा उनके वध का बदला लेने के लिए सम्पूर्ण लोकों का विनाश करने का निश्चय किया और महान तप द्वारा अपनी शक्ति बढ़ाई ॥11॥
That son of the Bhrigu clan, who brought joy to the clan of Bhrigu, determined to destroy all the worlds to honour his forefathers (who were killed by the Kshatriyas) or to avenge their killing, and increased his power by great austerities. ॥11॥
