स ताञ्छक्त्यवरान् पुत्रान् वसिष्ठस्य महात्मन:।
भक्षयामास संक्रुद्ध: सिंह: क्षुद्रमृगानिव॥ ४२॥
अनुवाद
जैसे सिंह क्रोध में आकर छोटे-छोटे मृगों को खा जाता है, उसी प्रकार उस राजा ने (राक्षसों की सभा में) महात्मा वसिष्ठ के उन सब पुत्रों को खा लिया, जो शक्ति से भी छोटे थे।
Just as a lion in anger devours small deer, similarly that king (in the assembly of demons) ate all the sons of the great soul Vasishtha who were younger than Shakti.
