ततस्तु पृषतेऽतीते स राजा द्रुपदोऽभवत्।
द्रोणोऽपि रामं शुश्राव दित्सन्तं वसु सर्वश:॥ ८॥
वनं तु प्रस्थितं रामं भरद्वाजसुतोऽब्रवीत्।
आगतं वित्तकामं मां विद्धि द्रोणं द्विजोत्तम॥ ९॥ |

| पृषट की मृत्यु के बाद द्रुपद राजा हुए। इधर द्रोण ने भी सुना कि परशुराम अपनी सारी संपत्ति दान करना चाहते हैं और वन जाने को तैयार हैं। तब भरद्वाजनंदन द्रोण परशुराम के पास गए और बोले- 'ब्राह्मणों में श्रेष्ठ! मुझे द्रोण ही जानो। मैं धन की इच्छा से यहाँ आया हूँ।'॥8-9॥ |

| After the death of Prishat, Drupada became the king. Here Drona also heard that Parashurama wanted to donate all his wealth and was ready to go to the forest.
