(स सत्यसंधं नैषादिं दृष्ट्वा प्रीतोऽब्रवीदिदम्।
एवं कर्तव्यमिति वा एकलव्यमभाषत॥ )
तत: शरं तु नैषादिरङ्गुलीभिर्व्यकर्षत।
न तथा च स शीघ्रोऽभूद् यथा पूर्वं नराधिप॥ ५९॥ |

| निषादनंदन एकलव्य को सत्य बोलते देख द्रोणाचार्य बहुत प्रसन्न हुए। उन्होंने इशारों से उसे बताया कि तर्जनी और मध्यमा से बाण पकड़कर धनुष की डोरी कैसे खींचनी है। तब से निषादकुमार केवल अपनी अंगुलियों से ही बाण चलाने लगा। हे राजन! उस अवस्था में वह पहले की तरह तेजी से बाण नहीं चला पाता था। 59. |
