पाण्डु बोले- हे महर्षियों! लोग कहते हैं कि जिनके सन्तान नहीं होती, उनके लिए स्वर्ग के द्वार बंद हो जाते हैं। मैं भी सन्तानहीन हूँ, अतः दुःख से व्याकुल हूँ और आप सब से निवेदन करता हूँ। हे तपस्वियों! मैं अब तक अपने पितृऋण से मुक्त नहीं हो सका हूँ, अतः चिन्ता से व्याकुल हूँ॥ 15-16॥
Pandu said— O great sages! People say that the doors of heaven are closed for those who do not have children. I am also childless, therefore, I am distressed with grief and request you all. O ascetics! I have not been able to free myself from the debt of my ancestors till now, therefore I am distressed with worry.॥ 15-16॥
