“[भगवान चैतन्य ने कहा:] ‘सभी भक्तों में यह गोवर्धन पर्वत सर्वश्रेष्ठ है! हे मेरे मित्रों, यह पर्वत कृष्ण और बलराम, साथ ही उनके बछड़ों, गायों और ग्वाल-बालों को सभी प्रकार की आवश्यक वस्तुएँ प्रदान करता है—पीने के लिए जल, अत्यंत कोमल घास, गुफाएँ, फल, फूल और सब्जियाँ। इस प्रकार यह पर्वत भगवान को सम्मान प्रदान करता है। कृष्ण और बलराम के चरणकमलों का स्पर्श पाकर गोवर्धन पर्वत अत्यंत प्रसन्नचित्त प्रतीत होता है।’”
"(Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said:) 'Of all devotees, this Govardhana mountain is the best! O friends, this mountain fulfills all the needs of Krishna and Balarama and their calves, cows, and cowherd friends. It provides water to drink, very soft grass, caves, fruits, flowers, and plants. In this way, this mountain salutes the Lord. It appears extremely happy to be touched by the lotus feet of Krishna and Balarama."
