"जब मोह का आनंदात्मक भाव धीरे-धीरे बढ़ता है, तो वह विस्मय के समान हो जाता है। तब व्यक्ति विस्मय [वैचित्री] की अवस्था तक पहुँचता है, जो दिव्य उन्माद को जागृत करती है। उदघुर्णा और चित्र-जल्प, दिव्य उन्माद के अनेक प्रकारों में से दो हैं।"
"As the state of enchantment gradually increases, it becomes like a delusion. Then comes the state of Vaichitri, or wonder, which awakens divine ecstasy. Of the many divisions of divine ecstasy, two are Udbhurna and Chitrajalpa."
