"जब कोई भगवान के प्रेम में लीन होता है, तो उसका हृदय भक्तियोग से द्रवित हो जाता है और उसे दिव्य आनंद की अनुभूति होती है। शारीरिक लक्षण प्रकट होते हैं, और उत्सुकता के कारण आँखों में आँसू आ जाते हैं। इस प्रकार व्यक्ति आध्यात्मिक आनंद का अनुभव करता है। जब हृदय अत्यधिक व्यथित होता है, तो ध्यानस्थ मन, मछली पकड़ने वाले काँटे की तरह, धीरे-धीरे ध्यान के विषय से अलग हो जाता है।"
"When one falls in love with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, his heart is moved by devotional service and he experiences transcendental bliss. Symptoms appear in his body, and tears well up in his eyes out of eagerness. Thus he experiences spiritual bliss. When the heart is deeply distressed, the pensive mind gradually drifts away from the object of meditation, just like a fishing hook."
