वैध-भक्ति-साधना से उत्पन्न भाव का उदाहरण श्रीमद्भागवतम् [1.5.26] में दिया गया है: "हे व्यासदेव, उस संगति में और उन महान वेदान्तियों की कृपा से, मैं उनसे भगवान कृष्ण की लीलाओं का वर्णन सुन सका। ये अत्यंत आकर्षक (रुचि) हो गए, और भगवान के श्रवण की मेरी रुचि पग-पग पर बढ़ती गई। इस प्रकार ध्यानपूर्वक सुनने (आसक्ति) से, भगवान के प्रति रति प्रकट हुई।"
An example of the feeling generated by valid devotional practice is given in Srimad Bhagavatam [1.5.26]: "O Vyasadeva, in that association and by the grace of those great Vedantins, I was able to hear from them the descriptions of the pastimes of Lord Krishna. These became extremely attractive (ruchi), and my interest in hearing about the Lord increased step by step. Thus by listening attentively (attachment), love for the Lord arose."
