किं च —
भावो’प्य् अभावम् आयाति कृष्ण-प्रेष्ठापराधतः ।
आभासतां च शनकैर् न्यून-जातीयताम् अपि ॥१.३.५४ ॥

"इसके अलावा, यह भी कहना चाहिए: भगवान के प्रियतम भक्त के प्रति अपराध, यदि गंभीर हो, तो वास्तविक भाव भी नष्ट हो जाएगा। यदि अपराध मध्यम हो, तो भाव भावाभास में बदल जाएगा। यदि अपराध हल्का हो, तो भाव निम्न प्रकार का हो जाएगा।"
"Furthermore, it should also be said: If the offense against the Lord's most beloved devotee is serious, even the real feeling will be destroyed. If the offense is moderate, the feeling will turn into an illusion. If the offense is mild, the feeling will become of a lower kind."
