भगवान श्री रामचंद्रजी के सामने लकड़ी की खड़ाऊँ रखकर भरतजी आँखों में आँसू भरे हुए और दोनों हाथ जोड़कर खड़े रहे। भगवान श्री रामचंद्रजी ने भरतजी को अपनी दोनों भुजाओं में भरकर लंबे समय तक गले लगाए रखा और अपने आँसुओं से उन्हें नहला दिया। इसके बाद माता सीताजी और लक्ष्मणजी के साथ भगवान श्री रामचंद्रजी ने विद्वान ब्राह्मणों और परिवार के वरिष्ठजनों को प्रणाम किया। अयोध्या के सभी निवासियों ने भगवान को आदरपूर्वक नमन किया।
Bharata stood with folded hands and tears in his eyes, placing the Khaadas in front of Lord Ramachandra. Lord Ramachandra embraced Bharata for a long time, holding him in his arms and bathing him with his tears. Thereafter, Ramachandra, along with Sitadevi and Lakshmana, offered his obeisances to the learned Brahmins and the elders of the family. All the people of Ayodhya offered their respectful obeisances to the Lord.
