Among the great souls who came to worship the Lord's feet were those who had attained perfection in self-control and rituals. They were also proficient in logic, history, general education and the Vedic literature called kalpa (dealing with ancient historical events). Others were well versed in Vedic sub-disciplines such as the Brahma Samhitas, other knowledge of the Vedas and the Vedangas (Ayurveda, Dhanurveda, etc.). There were others who had freed themselves from the consequences of their actions by transcendental knowledge awakened by the practice of yoga. There were some who had attained abode in Brahmaloka not by ordinary actions but by higher Vedic knowledge. After worshiping the Lord's raised feet with devotion by water oblations, Brahma, born from the lotus that emerged from Lord Visnu's navel, praised the Lord.
