श्री लक्ष्मण ने कहा: हे रानी, मैंने नारद मुनि को भगवान अच्युत के अवतारों और कार्यों की बार-बार महिमा गाते हुए सुना है और इस तरह मेरा मन भी उन्हीं भगवान मुकुंद के प्रति आकर्षित हो गया। वास्तव में, देवी पद्महस्ता ने विभिन्न लोकों पर शासन करने वाले महान देवताओं को अस्वीकार करते हुए, बहुत सावधानीपूर्वक विचार करने के बाद उन्हें अपने पति के रूप में चुना है।
Sri Lakshmana said: O Queen, I heard the sage Narada repeatedly singing the glories of Lord Achyuta's incarnations and deeds, and thus my mind too became attached to that very Lord Mukunda. Indeed, the Goddess Padmahasta, after much careful consideration, has chosen him as her husband, having spurned the great demigods ruling the various worlds.
