नूनं नानामदोन्नद्धा: शान्तिं नेच्छन्त्यसाधव: ।
तेषां हि प्रशमो दण्ड: पशूनां लगुडो यथा ॥ ३१ ॥

[भगवान् बलराम ने कहा] : "देखो, इन दुष्टों के अनेक मनोविकारों ने इन्हें इतना घमंडी बना दिया है कि ये शांति नहीं चाहते। तो फिर इन्हे शारीरिक दंड देकर समझाना होगा, जैसे एक छड़ी से जानवरों को वश में किया जाता है।
[Lord Balarama said] : “It is clear that the various desires of these miscreants have made them so arrogant that they do not want peace at all. Then they will have to be brought to terms with physical punishment, just as animals are brought to terms with a stick.
