शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: व्रज की ललनाएँ कृष्ण के अनुचर को देखकर विस्मित हई। उनके हाथ लंबे और आंखें नई खिली हुई कमल जैसी थीं। उन्होंने पीले रंग के वस्त्र पहने हुए थे, उनके गले में कमल की माला थी और उनके चेहरे पर कलात्मक कुंडल चमक रहे थे जो कमल के फूल की तरह थे। गोपियों ने पूछा, "यह सुंदर पुरुष कौन है? यह कहाँ से आया है? यह किसकी सेवा करता है? यह कृष्ण के वस्त्र और आभूषण कैसे पहने है?" यह कहकर, गोपियां उद्धव के चारों ओर दृढ़ता से एकत्रित हो गईं, जिनका आश्रय भगवान उत्तमश्लोक श्रीकृष्ण के चरण कमल थे।
Sukadeva Gosvami said: The girls of Vraja were astonished to see Krishna's attendant. He had long arms and eyes like newly bloomed lotuses. He was dressed in yellow clothes, had a garland of lotuses around his neck, and his face was like a lotus, shining with very refined earrings. The gopis asked, "Who is this handsome man? Where has he come from? Whom does he serve? He is wearing Krishna's clothes and ornaments!" Saying this, the gopis eagerly gathered around Uddhava whose refuge was the lotus feet of Lord Uttamasloka Sri Krishna.
