गोपीनां वितताद्भुत-स्फुटतर-प्रेमानलार्चिश्-छटा-
दग्धानां किल नाम-कीर्तन-कृतात् तासां विशेषात् स्मृतेः
तत्-तीक्ष्ण-ज्वलनोच्छिखाग्र-कणिका-स्पर्शेन सद्यो महा-
वैकल्यं स भजन् कदापि न मुखे नामानि कर्तुं प्रभुः |

| गोपियाँ कृष्ण-प्रेम की अद्भुत प्रज्वलित अग्नि की विशाल लपटों में भस्म हो गईं। यदि मेरे गुरु इन गोपियों के नामों का उच्चारण करते हैं और किसी गोपी के विशिष्ट गुणों का स्मरण करते हैं, तो वे भी इस प्रचंड अग्नि की लपटों से निकलती चिंगारियाँ से प्रभावित होकर, तुरन्त ही अत्यधिक व्याकुल हो जाते हैं। इसलिए उन्हें गोपियों के नामों का उच्चारण करने से बचना चाहिए। |
